How we use and protect project information.

Who we are
Atlas Blinds Ltd (company number 13866301, registered in England and Wales; registered office: Suite 48, Flexspace, Manchester Road, Bolton, BL3 2NZ) is an independent window-treatment installation business. For privacy enquiries, email mj@atlasblinds.co.uk or call 0161 605 2297 or 07553 880066.
Information we receive
We may receive names, business names, roles, telephone numbers, email addresses, project and installation addresses, product schedules, quantities, programme information, measurements, access and safety information, drawings, photographs, quotations, contract acceptances, appointment records, invoices and payment status. Atlas does not receive or store full payment-card details; Stripe processes card information.
Project request and contract evidence
The website project intake stores the submitted project brief in secure platform storage. It also records the selected Consumer or Trade route, applicable terms version and hash, acceptance time, optional Consumer early-start request, privacy acknowledgement, quotation history, acceptance status, payment status and relevant transactional-email events. This creates an auditable service and contract record.
Attachments
Drawings, schedules and site images are stored in private object storage and are not public website files. Access is limited to the authenticated Atlas Control account and service providers needed to operate the website.
Why we use information
We use information to assess enquiries, define responsibility, plan access and programmes, prepare quotations, form and perform contracts, process payments, send confirmations and reminders, provide installation and aftercare, maintain business records, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. Our usual lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests.
Service providers and sharing
We share only what is necessary with providers used to operate the service, including OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for website, database and file storage; Resend for transactional email; Stripe for payments; and competent subcontractors, project parties or professional advisers where required for delivery. We do not sell personal information.
Transactional and marketing email
Project acknowledgements, terms, quotations, payment confirmations and appointment communications are transactional and are sent because you requested or entered a service workflow. Marketing consent is separate, optional and unticked by default.
Retention and rights
Unsuccessful enquiries are reviewed and removed when no longer necessary. Contract, tax, installation, payment and dispute records may be retained for applicable legal and limitation periods. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
